Can I use Lopay for my business?

We work with many types of business, from sole traders to clubs, charities, and companies. If you want to take payments anywhere, anytime, Lopay is here for you.

Create QR codes for your customers to scan and pay in seconds or send a payment link over text, email, or social media so your customer can pay from anywhere. And if you still need one, we offer a free card reader too.

Please note: You can’t use Lopay if you sell products and services that are either prohibited by the credit card network or violate laws in the countries where Lopay operates. For more information please see our Restricted Businesses page.

How does Lopay make payment easier for my customers?

Lopay enables faster cashless transactions. Your customers can pay by Apple Pay or Google Pay in just two taps on their smartphone. Simply ask your customer to scan the QR code on your smartphone or a Lopay Paypoint – or send a payment link via text, email, or social media. No need for a wallet and no app download. Your customer just needs a smartphone.

For contactless and chip & PIN card payments, we offer a free card reader. So that’s sorted too.

How much will it cost me?

We charge a flat transaction fee that includes card network costs – and you choose when you receive your money:

0.79%* for Weekly payouts (every Thursday)
0.99%* for Next Day payouts (next business day, Monday to Friday)
1.79%* for Instant payouts (immediate, even on weekends & holidays)

* Rates apply to UK Visa & Mastercard payments. American Express, corporate & international card payments are 1.79% (or 2.79% for Instant payouts) due to higher associated network fees.

Minimum payout is £1 (or £10 for Instant payouts). And your first card reader is completely free if you transact £2,500 in the first 6 months. (Postage & Packaging applies.)
